Start an amazing journey……

What is a Christening?

A Christening, or Baptism, is when a child is baptised with water. It’s the start of a journey of faith for your child and a special day for all your friends and family. A visible sign of God’s love, at Baptism we thank God for the gift of life and prepare a child for their life ahead.

Who can be Christened here?
Anyone! If you live in Marston or Lidlington or have connections to the Church here, we would be delighted to have a Christening service for you. As parents, you don’t have to be Christened yourself to bring your child for Christening.  And you don’t have to be a baby – Baptism is for anyone of any age who wants to begin or take another step on their faith journey.

What does it involve?

Simply book a date with one of our clergy team. Then attend one of our Sunday Family Services to receive a thanksgiving blessing for your child and meet with one of our Baptism Coordinators to discuss your child’s service.
